Flight 93 Shot down?????
On a holiday trip to Iraq Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld made a comment that flight 93 was shot down. I guess Michael Moore missed this in his movie....

face if the people who bombed the mess hall in Mosul, or the people who did the
bombing in Spain, or the people who attacked the United States in New York, shot down the plane over Pennsylvania and attacked the Pentagon, the people who cut off peoples' heads on television to intimidate, to frighten – indeed the word 'terrorized' is just that. make people be something other than that which they want to be."

You have a sharp eye for detail, but I think Secretary Rumsfeld simply misspoke.
Regarding his reference to the bombing of the mess hall at Mosul, a buddy of mine has made a career of the Army. Just before that incident took place he completed his latest tour of duty, having been stationed in and around Mosul, and had returned Stateside. He said many of the soldiers who had been in Iraq for a while, including himself, realized that huge mess hall was a tempting target for the enemy and were avoiding it. For the last several days before my friend left Iraq all of his meals were MREs, the equivalent of the old C-rations and the even older K-rations. He wasn't going anywhere near that mess tent and the subsequent attack shows his instincts were good.
